Ford Offering Cash to High School for Test Drives

Hop in a new Ford vehicle Aug. 20, and just for giving it a spin, the company will donate $20 for each ride.

The could receive $6,000 from Klaben Ford Lincoln if 300 residents stop by Aug. 20 to test drive a vehicle.

Ford will be at the high school from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 20 as part of the Drive One 4 UR School give-back program.

For each vehicle that takes a spin around the high school parking lot, the Ford Motor Co. will donate $20 to the high school. A maximum of $6,000 will be donated, depending on how many people get behind the wheel.

"This program will sponsor a senior incentive program promoting good works for students in the senior class," a press release from the district stated. "We are hoping to make this an annual 'inspiring incentives for good work' ending with a senior breakfast and drawing for all seniors who earned incentives throughout the senior year."

According to the program's website, Drive One 4 UR School was developed as a "fun, engaging way to help schools raise money to support their sports and extracurricular activities."

A valid driver's license is required and drivers must be 18 years of age to participate.
