Kids Going Through Snow Day Rituals?

Backwards, inside out pajamas and spoons under pillows ... what are your children doing to bring a snow day to Stow?

The weather is threatening to dump a few inches of snow on Stow Friday, but will it be enough overnight to cause a snow day at school?

Students across the city (and other cities no doubt) are going through the strangest rituals tonight, according to our Facebook friends, to get a snow day Jan. 13.

Here's a few ways kids think they are helping facilitate a snow day in Stow:

  • "My kids have informed me that not only do the jammies go on inside out and backwards, a plastic spoon goes under the pillow, we must tape a paper clip to the bedroom door, and they have to do 'their silliest snow dance' on top of their beds. Bedtime is taking extra long tonight for some odd reason!" — Pamela Wind
  • "They need to put a spoon in the freezer and flush the toilet at exactly 9 p.m. LOL - good luck kids!" — Tammy Costello Denton
  • "Don't forget to flush some ice cubes down the toilet!" — Jamie Day Atha
  • "Put a white crayon in the freezer!" — Sheila Hibbs Catanese
  • "My kids are planning to do all that crazy wear your pjs inside out stuff tonight in the hopes of no school tomorrow! LOL My kids also said you put a spoon under your pillow." — Christie Brown Sheets
