Summer vacation starts today for all students when class ends at its normal time at all of the buildings.
At the high school, students were finishing makeup final exams.
School will resume Aug. 24 for all students in Kindergarten through ninth grade. Students in 10th, 11th and 12th will begin Aug. 25. This is due to a new initiative called Freshman Welcome where students can become more acclimated with the new building and the transition into high school.
